A brand new interior for the 2018 Toyota RIV4 will be the first in the US, according to Toyota, as the automaker begins production of its entry-level SUV in the state of Florida.
Toyota says it will roll out the first US production RIV6 and RIV7 vehicles at its plant in Orlando in mid-August.
The first batch of RIVs will arrive on the US market in early 2019, according a press release from Toyota.
Toyota says the first batch will include the following:A standard RAV6 interior with sport seats, headliner, and rearview mirror, a standard RIV5 interior with standard armrests and a frontview camera, an RIV3 interior with a rearview camera and rear view mirrors, and a standard S7 interior with front seat backrests.
The RIV’s new exterior features new headlights and LED taillights.
The company says it’s working with local car companies to develop the RIV for the US.
In addition to Toyota’s new RAVs, Toyota has also announced a new crossover SUV that will compete with the Toyota Yaris.
It will be called the RAV2 and will be built by an unnamed Japanese manufacturer.
