cato: ‘I’m not a dog’ source The Hill article catos: Trump ‘s ‘cavalier’ response to Charlottesville violence ‘isn’t the only thing that I’m interested in’ article Cato has also said he thinks the president is “an idiot,” “crazy” and a “scumbag.”
Trump has previously said the media has been “out of control,” and on Friday, he called the media “totally out of control” during a White House press briefing.
He said that if they want to talk about his “very good” presidency, “they can talk about anything, but they have no idea what they’re talking about.”
But Cato said on Monday that he’s not worried about Trump’s presidency becoming an “absolute disaster” or a “total disaster” because the president “is not a bully.”
“I don’t think that this presidency is a total disaster, because he has a tremendous ability to communicate,” he said on CBS This Morning.
“I think that he has an ability to be a very nice guy, very compassionate guy.
I don’t see that this president is a bully, and he doesn’t act that way.”
But even if Trump does “get fired up,” he still has plenty of support in the administration.
“If you look at his record, you’ll see that he is the kind of guy who’s going to do what he thinks is right, and that’s the type of person he’s going with,” former Attorney General Loretta Lynch said on CNN.
Lynch also said Trump’s “tough on crime” rhetoric is “a very smart way to get back at law enforcement and the law enforcement officers who have been killed and injured by crime.”
“He understands that if you’re a police officer, you’re not going to be happy about this, and you’re going to try to take the pressure off of them and keep them safe,” Lynch said.
Lynn added that Trump has “always been a very smart guy” who “gets his facts wrong” on a regular basis, and called him “a man of the people.”
“If we don’t have a president who gets his facts right, that means we’re going nowhere,” she said.
