The Tesla Custom 3000gt SUV will be the first luxury SUV to be built with the Autopilot software, a company spokesperson said Thursday.
The company unveiled a new version of the vehicle in California, a week after it launched a special preview in California.
The company is working with Autopilots partners to deliver the vehicle to customers in Nevada, Nevada and Texas.
The first customer will be a man who works at a California-based auto parts store.
The vehicle will be able to be driven for about 15 minutes before a trip to the dealer, Tesla said.
The vehicle will have a top speed of 120 mph and be able travel between 40,000 and 55,000 miles on a single charge, according to the company.
The automaker said the Autodrive system will let the driver drive the vehicle for longer periods of time, including when the driver has a passenger in the vehicle.
