BMW has released new pictures of the new BMW M4, the next generation of the M5 sedan, as it prepares for its maiden road test at the Paris Motor Show.
The car will be the first M5 in nearly 30 years to be shown in public, the company said.
BMW has made a huge splash in the car business with its new M3 and M4 models, which have set the benchmark for what buyers can expect from the company in the future.
The new M4 is designed for the modern era, with a large central grille, an upgraded front fascia, and a wider stance.
The front fascias are wider, as are the front doors, while the rear is widened and the rear bumper is also longer.
The M4 sedan also features the new “G-force” electric power steering system, which is similar to the systems in the M3 sedan and M5.
BMW says the new M5 will be offered with a five-door and a six-door, and it is said to be a “premium” option.
The company also unveiled a new interior for the car, featuring new materials and new styling.
“The new M6 and M6 Plus are the ultimate expression of the BMW M brand,” said Dieter Zetsche, senior vice president of product strategy, in a statement.
“These new M models offer outstanding design, quality, and performance and have all the performance and performance-oriented capabilities of the original M6,” he added.

It debuted in 2002 and sold well, but it has been overshadowed by the new Model 3 and the BMW 3 Series, which it introduced in the U.S. in 2017.
The next generation M5 is expected to debut in 2019, with the M7 and M20 coming later in the decade.
The BMW M10 is currently the only new BMW car on sale, with production set to start later this year.
The latest M5 has been unveiled in a range of trim levels, from the cheapest M5 Plus to the most expensive M5 X, which retails for $30,000 (about $32,000) and is available with or without a manual transmission.
The upcoming M6 is a new model, which BMW says will be “premier and more powerful than the current M5” with more power, better brakes, and “improved performance.”
The new car will have a 6.2-liter V8 engine, while all M6 models will get a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
BMW also introduced a new M10 crossover, which the company says will have “the same driving dynamics” as the current crossover.
The 2018 M3 is expected at the end of 2019, and the M10 will debut in the first half of 2020.
The 2019 M5 and M10 are expected to be the most powerful and luxury cars on sale at the time of publication.
